Raw Juce was created to share our love of superior, organic juce that not only tastes great, but helps people feel better. Happy U is our training and personal growth program. At Happy U you will learn about our company culture, mechanics of being a team member in our store, and create a plan of betterment and growth for yourself over the next ten years. Our goal is to teach you the Raw Juce culture and to help you create balance between your work and personal life. We’ve created a 20 day digital platform training program to insure that you are knowledgeable, confident, experienced, and goal-oriented before you ever spread the love in a Raw Juce store.

Barry Rabkin: Founder’s Story
It was an ordinary day in January, 2009 when after washing my face and looking in the mirror I discovered a golf ball size lump on my throat. I was shocked and concerned.
After several doctor appointments, CAT scans, and biopsies, it was confirmed that I had thyroid cancer. I underwent surgery and radioactive iodine treatment, and put on a regiment of Synthroid, a replacement for a hormone usually produced by the thyroid gland to help regulate the body’s energy and metabolism. Everything went fine but still for the next year I was weak and depressed, completely opposite of how I usually felt.
Then I was introduced to organic foods and juicing. I started with the basics, orange juice with bananas, blueberries, and strawberries every morning for breakfast. I immediately started feeling better. I bought a professional juicer and started going to Whole Foods three times a week to load up a shopping cart with organic fresh vegetables and fruits. Soon I started feeling like superman. My body got tight and my mind exploded with energy. I was back!
The experience turned me into an evangelist and I started telling everyone I knew about what “raw juice” had done for me. My blood tests for cancer were getting better each month. My doctor said, “Whatever you’re doing, keep doing it.”
I decided I had to open a place to share this “fountain of youth” with as many people as possible. There was only one problem; I knew absolutely nothing about opening or running a store.
That’s when I approached my friend Jeff Levine at our son’s basketball practice to tell him about the miracle of juice. I could tell he didn’t really get what I was saying, so I lifted up my shirt to show him a 45-year-old’s version of six pack abs. Not bad for a 45 year old!
After evaluating the business opportunity and the potential impact on the market, Jeff reached out to Steve, his partner in another concept, to join the Raw Juce team
Together we created the mission and values of what would become Raw JUCE!
